After working as an architect in Air India for 21 years, Achyut Bidkar established Sakar Architects, to pursue his passion for creativity and beyond. What started as a specialized niche in aviation architecture, today Sakar has successfully delivered over 370 projects across a spectrum of commercial and residential work.
The word ‘Sakar’, meaning realizing one’s dreams, and the articulation (संधी) of ‘स’ and ‘आकार’ meaning an expression through shapes, is true to its essence for us.
Our Philosophy
Our design philosophy is simple, holistic and inclusive. The client-centric approach lies at our very core. We believe that functionality and aesthetics must go hand-in-hand. Thus, over the years, we have developed our unique design language and working style.
At Sakar, we understand how a project is never just the bricks and the walls, but an abode of lifelong stories, emotions, bonds and years of hard work. Therefore, it is our mission and a privilege to help our clients shape their spaces true to its reflection. As every client has a unique story to tell with their spaces, we ensure a tailored approach.
Our designs are mindful, sustainable and environment-conscious, that are inspired from every-day life. We like to see projects evolve in harmony with nature and thus, we believe in providing conservative solutions for the spaces as well as for the resources.
